"Acadia Retreat" has been created so that you and your family can stay in a wonderful & comfortable environment while you explore & experience all the beauty that surrounds you! Our charming 6 year old home is being offered as a vacation rental for the very first time! It is beautifully maintained and lovingly appointed with great attention to detail. Most of the furniture has barely been used! We have a bright, open floor plan where the living room, dining area & kitchen share one big space. The kitchen has an abundance of cabinets and counter space. The laundry area is located off the kitchen and has a full-sized washer and dryer. The dining area has a handsome round oak table and chairs. The living room has good seating capacity and a TV with VCR and DVD players. The sunny bedrooms are located on opposite ends of the home for maximum privacy. The master bedroom with a queen size bed has a private bath, walk-in closet and TV. The second bedroom with twin beds has two closets and the main bath is located right outside the door. Both baths offer spotlessly clean tub/shower combinations. The heating system is very efficient and ceiling fans are installed for extra comfort in warmer weather. The home has been freshly painted bright white and accented with attractive and colorful furnishings and collectibles. IT�S JUST FUN AND INVITING! Outside you will have a beautiful yard with exquisite trees and wildflowers and a resident bunny to make you smile! You can just relax in the hammock with a book, send the kids on a treasure hunt in the surrounding woods, cook some lobsters and have a picnic or even shoot some hoops! IT IS TRULY A GREAT VACATION SETTING! AREA: "Acadia Retreat" is located 2 miles from the bridge onto Mt. Desert Island and 9 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. The Visitor's Center at the entrance to Acadia National Park is 10 minutes away. The Island Explorer which provides bus service to downtown Bar Harbor, other Island towns and Acadia National Park, stops just up the road. Ellsworth which is 10 miles away has more movie theaters, restaurants and shopping and don't forget the L.L. Bean outlet store, Marden's and Reny's which are all located on High Street! THEY HAVE "WICKED GOOD" STUFF!
